StakeOut..ugh...

So this evening we spent an HOUR and a HALF in the CAR ugh. Joy our realtor called and said someone wanted to look at the house this evening (may I point out this is our 7th showing in the past 5 days, we are on a roll) Normally people come during the day so this is the first evening showing. So I was forced to change out of my pajamas....yes at 5 o'clock in the evening....to pick a few things up and head out of the house. I was under the impression we would go get something to eat, go horse around at Home Depot, visit Casey's parents, run some errands I didn't care, the hubby had other ideas. For some reason he was under the impression that when Joy said "between 6:30 and 7:30" that she meant right at 6:30 for approx 10 minutes. NOOOOO, we got in the car at approx 6:10 me expecting to go somewhere, Casey expecting to drive down the street and park to watch the people...creepy I know. No carseat, no bathroom, 1/2 a cup of milk, no dinner for the child, no toys, no NOTHING except the 3 of us in a car and our cell phones HENCE the selected few of you who were harassed by our boredom.
After the first half hour Bryden was bored with jumping from one seat to the other, rolling down all the windows, dancing to the radio and talking on the phone and realized he needed to go potty. With no inclination of what time the perspective new home owners would arrive here we are stuck two blocks from our house with no car seat to drive to a bathroom and a child who needs to go potty. OH BUT, we have a cup. There is nothing like teaching your child to pee in a cup since your husband decided this was a good idea. And here we are stuck with no other choice. Amazingly Casey was irritated at me because I was irritated that he decided that parking down the street was the best option instead of finding something to do. He was just mad he had to stop playing his STUPID STUPID Modern Warfare game, SOOOOSOOOSOOO sorry I bought this STUPID Playstation 3 for his STUPID birthday (thanks for letting me vent.
So the couple arrive at approx 7:12 - and hour after we jumped in the car and left at 7:30. What a way to spend the evening staking out your own house :(

On another note....Casey was asked to go to the KU game with a friend last night. He told Bryden to watch for him on the TV. So at 8 o'clock I turn to the appropriate channel and the UCONN game is still on and Bryden proceeds to call some 20 something bald kid "Daddy". I think he meant "Daddy is at the game" but it was funny he was calling him "daddy". SO once the game came on he would run by the TV yelling "HI DADDY, HI DADDY". I was counting the rows to see if he would be shown on TV and when I turned around Bryden was doing the same thing "Two, Three, Nine" it was so cute!! Then we came to a commercial "where did Daddy go?" it was so sweet and funny that he understood to a certain point.

Well we will keep you posted if our stake out yields any offers, keep your fingers crossed. I had a bet with Casey that we would get an offer in February and he said March, now we just need to get an offer this weekend and I will win. Unfortunately, I have forgotten what we bet and I know it was something good so I am really disappointed in myself. My dad made the joke "ya we have to write those things down, but then try to remember where we put the piece of paper" LOL it was funny!!

SAD NEWS:

Iolan Dies in Rollover Crash

A 25-year old Iola woman is dead following a car crash last night, and the driver faces possible charges. The Allen County Sheriff's Department says Nicole Sigg was a passenger in a car driven by Ramsey Gott that crashed seven miles northwest of Iola last night. Gott crashed, apparently speeding through a curve, and overturned. Jessica Rogers and Steven Warden, who were also passengers in the vehicle, were thrown out as the car rolled. It came to rest on its wheels and Gott sped off, leaving them behind. He called 9-1-1, though, and met deputies and EMS at Texas Road and old U-S 169. Sigg was airlifted to KU Medical Center where she later died. Gott was taken to Allen County Hospital and later to a Wichita hospital with possible neck injury. Rogers and Watt were also taken to ACH; they were treated and released. Gott faces a possible charge of 2nd degree reckless murder, according to the incident report.

My heart goes out to the Sigg Family! I think the funeral is scheduled for Tuesday :( This was Casey's cousin.

Another Weekend of Snow

Well, another weekend of snow or sleet or slush or rain you take your pick at any given moment of this weekend. This weather has really soiled our plans. We were suppose to go down to Coffeyville and visit the Dumm's,(the Dumm's are: Shalawnda and Travis and their new bundle of joy Asher) but the hubby was worried the weather was not going to be favorable (althought I hate to admit it, he may be correct, and I can say that here since he will never read it!!) He said "You can always go down and hold that baby, but we can't get ours back" so that really made me rethink my stubborn attitude I was carrying around yesterday. So we will have to postpone seeing baby Asher. I am really excited to have another baby in the family and I bet Bryden can't wait - he loves babies, but I don't need him begging for a new baby too. Him and Casey would be ganging up on me then and I am waiting until after we go to Mexico in December, which may be a little selfish because none of us are getting any younger but after we add another child it will be harder to go on a vacation with the family just Casey and I, so my feeling is we should just go and enjoy it while we can.

The weather has also affected the people that were coming to look at the house today, they are going to reschedule at least.

I guess we will just settle working out with Kirsten, Bob and Jillian today - which is fine by me with this kind of weather. Kirsten and I have been doing the BIGGEST LOSER workouts. I know I always thought they were for obese people and wouldn't be a challenge and since they are from the show I thought they may be a little cheezy, but they are a serious workout with lots of variety which makes the hour go by very quickly. We really like the Cardio Max DVD and the Last Chance workouts. They are customizable and you vary your workouts with cardio and weights which I love! So I would recommend these to any one who is tired of their gym routine or need something to do at home. Thanks to Tristan for "suggesting" these!

Happy Valentine's Day

Sorry no cute photos of the little man with a shirt saying something like MOMMAS HEARTBREAKER of something silly (I wish)- my camera sucks I hate it and never really want to pick it up at this point. I have it hidden away in a drawer without the battery charged. We have been discussing getting a new camera because ours is 5 yrs old and just can't keep up with Bryden, and I don't blame it there are some days I can't either. It has smudged little Bryden prints all over the lense so now the photos not only are just a quick shadow of what Bryden use to be doing when I intended for the photo to be taken it is also blurry. I am sure once the house gets sold it will be our top priority behind, new living room furniture, new kitchen table, new bedroom furniture, 2 new fridges, new basement furniture. I would LOVE to get a new camera before Aaron and Stephanie's wedding in August - so maybe an early birthday present - and for sure before we have another child.

Anyway, today Casey is working and my little Valentine and I are spending the day at home. Bryden got a new curious george book and some chocolate candy from us. Grandma and Papa stopped by last night and he got a new train shirt and some lighting McQueen sunglasses. We saw Nana and Papa last weekend and he got a new jogging suite and a Lighting McQueen pillow case along with the book Goodnight Moon.

We are making Daddies favorite cake - Ice Box Cake - for his valentines day treat.
I asked for no flowers because they just die and I think maybe they are a waste just at home since no one will really see them and no choclate since I am on a diet and would defeat the purpose of my hour with Jillian Michaels and Kirsten. SO we will see, don't really care if I get anything because spending the day with Bryden and an evening with Casey is enough for me. Casey did call this morning to make sure I was really serious about not getting anything. I think he wanted to make sure it wasn't a trick - you know me saying "ah honey you don't have to get me anything" but meaning "ah honey I want something sweet and romantic and expensive" (but I don't want you to know and you will be in big trouble if there is not a gift) I don't know why he would think I would do that :)

Well Happy Valentine's Day to you all give your loved ones a big hug and kiss and call it good! XOXO from all of us!!

Updates to my Laundry List...

My dad has returned from Iowa. I am glad he is back safe and sound. He said he only fell down 4 or 5 times so it was a success.

Koda is still at the vets. They had to operate on his ear. His ear had swollen up like a big tick with blood. They went in a drained all the blood and then patched up the veins so it may not continue to happen - I think that was the procedure - He will be resting at home the next 5-7 days :(

We met with out realtor last night. She is optimistic! We are happy with the showings so far so no complaints there. She said the winter was slow with the holiday and the snow storms. It should pick up in the first week or two in February so hopefully I will have good news then!!

Bryden STILL trouble! but so cute.

My Laundry List

Well not much going on here...
One. We are in the process of selling our house with one to two showings a week sometimes, which I think is great for this time of year. But the SOLD sign could not come soon enough since we need to get started on the construction of our new house IF and that is a big freakin IF the builder will ever return our attempts to contact them. Frustrated is how I feel right now about that. But I am hopeful it will all work out and in six short months we will be in a new home.

Two. I have been working on save the dates for both Kirsten and Stephanie that has been a lot of fun. Have I mentioned how much I love weddings?

Three. Kirsten and I have been working out three nights a week and I have been adding one to two days of my own. It has been nice to get back into working out and especially nice to have someone to suffer with. It will all be worth it when we are on the beach in mexico in december especially since we have about 4 weddings the summer which in turns brings showers and bachelorette parties and new clothes :) I can already feel the difference. We have been doing some FitTV with Gilad Sharon Mann and Cathe, some Jillian Michaels from Biggest Loser, some TaeBo with Billy Blanks it has been a nice variety. Bryden insist on running in an sitting on my back during push ups and jumping on my stomach during sit ups OH and don't forget the kiss that turns into mouth to mouth thrown in the middle of all that.

Four. My father was sent to Iowa last week to work the snow/ice storm. Ft. Scott was the last town that would have the option to be sent to Iowa and Independence took the order so Dad thought he would get to stay home but by noon last Thursday they had sent them all home to pack. Instead of sending one crew they were sending 30 crews so Dad packed up and headed North. I always worry about him it is long hours about 12 to 16 hr days and a lot of hard work.

Five. Bryden still is having a hard time staying in bed at night. Luckily our trip to Fritz's this weekend with the Ambles and Nana wore him out so Saturday - of course the evening my mom volunteered to take on the bedtime task - was super easy just carried him up and he didn't crawl out once. whew wish it was that easy every night. So far it is a great workout up and down stairs for an hour plus lifting a 27lb child back into their bed.

Six. With my promotion last month I have taken on some new duties at work which is keeping me on my toes. I love the fast paced environment and we are only doing half the order we will be in a few months.

Seventh. It appears Koda, our yellow lab, may need surgery this week. Both Koda and Maddox have allergies or something that causes almost like a yeast infection in their ears. Koda shakes and itches his ears and today one is either filled with blood of fluid I guess we will see tommorrow when Casey takes him to the vet, but it is puffed up and swollen and he cries when you get near. Poor thing. Koda almost cost us $1500 this past summer when he decided to eat a corn cob, I know this ear thing is not his fault but I think we have almost spent as much on Koda's medical bills than what it cost to have Bryden.

Eighth. We went to Fritz's this weekend as I mentioned with the Ambles and Nana. Bryden LOVED all the trains and his bun dipped in Ketchup. It was a great atmosphere if you are ever looking for something new we went to the one on Shawnee Mission Pkwy. Pretty good burgers, not as great as Five Guys but still good!

Ninth. Casey has been asked to audition for the role of minister at Kirsten and Tristan's wedding. don't laugh. I know if he makes the cut he will do a great job.

Last but not Least. Casey has decided that he will be the fatest man on the beach when we go to Mexico in December. While Kirsten and I work out he works on his girl scout cookie lifts. I came home a few weeks ago to find a stash of 11 boxes of girl scout cookies in our freezer and that is just what made it home, who knows if there are cookies in his desk drawer at work. He slowly but surley eats a few each night. Sharing one or two with Bryden and none with me - which is probably a good thing and I don't really mind.
