So this evening we spent an HOUR and a HALF in the CAR ugh. Joy our realtor called and said someone wanted to look at the house this evening (may I point out this is our 7th showing in the past 5 days, we are on a roll) Normally people come during the day so this is the first evening showing. So I was forced to change out of my pajamas....yes at 5 o'clock in the evening....to pick a few things up and head out of the house. I was under the impression we would go get something to eat, go horse around at Home Depot, visit Casey's parents, run some errands I didn't care, the hubby had other ideas. For some reason he was under the impression that when Joy said "between 6:30 and 7:30" that she meant right at 6:30 for approx 10 minutes. NOOOOO, we got in the car at approx 6:10 me expecting to go somewhere, Casey expecting to drive down the street and park to watch the people...creepy I know. No carseat, no bathroom, 1/2 a cup of milk, no dinner for the child, no toys, no NOTHING except the 3 of us in a car and our cell phones HENCE the selected few of you who were harassed by our boredom.
After the first half hour Bryden was bored with jumping from one seat to the other, rolling down all the windows, dancing to the radio and talking on the phone and realized he needed to go potty. With no inclination of what time the perspective new home owners would arrive here we are stuck two blocks from our house with no car seat to drive to a bathroom and a child who needs to go potty. OH BUT, we have a cup. There is nothing like teaching your child to pee in a cup since your husband decided this was a good idea. And here we are stuck with no other choice. Amazingly Casey was irritated at me because I was irritated that he decided that parking down the street was the best option instead of finding something to do. He was just mad he had to stop playing his STUPID STUPID Modern Warfare game, SOOOOSOOOSOOO sorry I bought this STUPID Playstation 3 for his STUPID birthday (thanks for letting me vent.
So the couple arrive at approx 7:12 - and hour after we jumped in the car and left at 7:30. What a way to spend the evening staking out your own house :(
On another note....Casey was asked to go to the KU game with a friend last night. He told Bryden to watch for him on the TV. So at 8 o'clock I turn to the appropriate channel and the UCONN game is still on and Bryden proceeds to call some 20 something bald kid "Daddy". I think he meant "Daddy is at the game" but it was funny he was calling him "daddy". SO once the game came on he would run by the TV yelling "HI DADDY, HI DADDY". I was counting the rows to see if he would be shown on TV and when I turned around Bryden was doing the same thing "Two, Three, Nine" it was so cute!! Then we came to a commercial "where did Daddy go?" it was so sweet and funny that he understood to a certain point.
Well we will keep you posted if our stake out yields any offers, keep your fingers crossed. I had a bet with Casey that we would get an offer in February and he said March, now we just need to get an offer this weekend and I will win. Unfortunately, I have forgotten what we bet and I know it was something good so I am really disappointed in myself. My dad made the joke "ya we have to write those things down, but then try to remember where we put the piece of paper" LOL it was funny!!
that is so funny. ohman, i would've been fuming mad at tj! sounds like you made the best of it though!
ReplyDeleteSorry you had such a crappy night, but I couldn't help laughing at it this morning!! You will laugh later!! Is there a "first time peeing in a cup" in Bryden's babybook?
