It has been a while since I have posted. I actually have photos of our visit to see baby Asher, Easter and Moving but still unable to find the hook up for my camera darn:(
We had a great easter, Bryden received a Lightning McQueen DVD player from the Easter Bunny and found lots of eggs and candy at Uncle Gary and Aunt Lori's. Him and TyTy had great fun finding their eggs.
We are very busy packing. Next Thursday Bryden and I go to visit Nana at the dentist and then head out to Colorado to visit, Heather, Jamie, Aaron, Stephanie, Halle and Higgins. We are very excited and looking foward to our first mini vacation of the year. Hopefully during the packing I will find the camera hook up.

More Snow
We have snow today....but I am not goint to let it get us down. After all we have KU basketball to watch so why would we venture outside unless it is join other KU fans and watch the game.
I have photos to upload, because really who is interested in just what I have to say!?!
But I cannot find the cord to plug the camera into the computer...I hate being in between living here and packed. So IF it is in the house I am going to continue to look for it and hope it turns up soon.
ROCK CHALK!!

What a wonderful perfect day :)
So we have been trying to sell our house for exactly 90 days. On Monday we received our first offer....$8000 under our asking price so we were extremely disappointed and frustrated that this was the best offer out there. What if we pass this up and we don't get another offer. So we were in the process of negotiating the offer. We were able to get him to meet us half way by Thursday, but were still not sure. So Thursday night we were debating on signing the contract. Kirsten and I went for our walk to give Casey some time to think and I figured he would have a decision by the time we returned. Unfortunately, we received some concening news from a family member who we were more concerned about so we did not make any decisons. Joy was carrying the contract around with her thinking she would stop by and we could sign but I didn't have a chance to get back to her, which happened to be a blessing. We were suppose to sign before 7 and at 8 she called and said "the gentleman that looked on Tuesday wants to come and look again in the morning" She had told his agent we were in the process of negotiating a contract so he better get on it IF he was going to make an offer. By 11:30 Friday we had a CASH offer - I know not many people are carrying around this much cash but I don't care where the money comes from just as long as it does right - $500 under our asking price. I was floored and super excited since we had all the stress in the beginning of the week. We will close on May 8th. Inspections are scheduled for this Tuesday and then we can start on the new house!! We were very lucky this week and if we hadn't of been going back and forth with the first guy we may not have gotten the offer we accepted. Everything just happened to work out for us this week.Wednesday, March 3, 2010
Should have just stayed in bed
Today I still have a sinus cold. Casey had it last week for a few days. Luckily Bryden has not been sick I hope it stays that way!!
As I slowly crawled out of bed this morning I sat in the bathroom debating on turning on the shower and making an attempt at the day or just go back to bed. You know that feeling that if you get in the shower you will probably make it thru the day but it is SOOOO tempting just to go back to bed. Well I decided to turn on the shower and head to work and thought I will stop and get coffee (+) that will make everything better, well.... it didn't make things worse. Today was filled with sniffles (-), employee reviews(/) , raise (+), nothing moving off my desk(-), lunch consisting of string cheese (/), Realtor (+), housing negotiations (-), stuffy head (-), trip to park and rec to sign up for classes (+), microwave cheese quesidiallas (/), runny nose (-), nick jr (/), laundry (-). I think the neutral and minuses outway the plus symbols today. Yep should have stayed in bed oh well there is always tomorrow it could be worse :)

StakeOut..ugh...
So this evening we spent an HOUR and a HALF in the CAR ugh. Joy our realtor called and said someone wanted to look at the house this evening (may I point out this is our 7th showing in the past 5 days, we are on a roll) Normally people come during the day so this is the first evening showing. So I was forced to change out of my pajamas....yes at 5 o'clock in the evening....to pick a few things up and head out of the house. I was under the impression we would go get something to eat, go horse around at Home Depot, visit Casey's parents, run some errands I didn't care, the hubby had other ideas. For some reason he was under the impression that when Joy said "between 6:30 and 7:30" that she meant right at 6:30 for approx 10 minutes. NOOOOO, we got in the car at approx 6:10 me expecting to go somewhere, Casey expecting to drive down the street and park to watch the people...creepy I know. No carseat, no bathroom, 1/2 a cup of milk, no dinner for the child, no toys, no NOTHING except the 3 of us in a car and our cell phones HENCE the selected few of you who were harassed by our boredom.
After the first half hour Bryden was bored with jumping from one seat to the other, rolling down all the windows, dancing to the radio and talking on the phone and realized he needed to go potty. With no inclination of what time the perspective new home owners would arrive here we are stuck two blocks from our house with no car seat to drive to a bathroom and a child who needs to go potty. OH BUT, we have a cup. There is nothing like teaching your child to pee in a cup since your husband decided this was a good idea. And here we are stuck with no other choice. Amazingly Casey was irritated at me because I was irritated that he decided that parking down the street was the best option instead of finding something to do. He was just mad he had to stop playing his STUPID STUPID Modern Warfare game, SOOOOSOOOSOOO sorry I bought this STUPID Playstation 3 for his STUPID birthday (thanks for letting me vent.
So the couple arrive at approx 7:12 - and hour after we jumped in the car and left at 7:30. What a way to spend the evening staking out your own house :(
On another note....Casey was asked to go to the KU game with a friend last night. He told Bryden to watch for him on the TV. So at 8 o'clock I turn to the appropriate channel and the UCONN game is still on and Bryden proceeds to call some 20 something bald kid "Daddy". I think he meant "Daddy is at the game" but it was funny he was calling him "daddy". SO once the game came on he would run by the TV yelling "HI DADDY, HI DADDY". I was counting the rows to see if he would be shown on TV and when I turned around Bryden was doing the same thing "Two, Three, Nine" it was so cute!! Then we came to a commercial "where did Daddy go?" it was so sweet and funny that he understood to a certain point.
Well we will keep you posted if our stake out yields any offers, keep your fingers crossed. I had a bet with Casey that we would get an offer in February and he said March, now we just need to get an offer this weekend and I will win. Unfortunately, I have forgotten what we bet and I know it was something good so I am really disappointed in myself. My dad made the joke "ya we have to write those things down, but then try to remember where we put the piece of paper" LOL it was funny!!

Iolan Dies in Rollover Crash
A 25-year old Iola woman is dead following a car crash last night, and the driver faces possible charges. The Allen County Sheriff's Department says Nicole Sigg was a passenger in a car driven by Ramsey Gott that crashed seven miles northwest of Iola last night. Gott crashed, apparently speeding through a curve, and overturned. Jessica Rogers and Steven Warden, who were also passengers in the vehicle, were thrown out as the car rolled. It came to rest on its wheels and Gott sped off, leaving them behind. He called 9-1-1, though, and met deputies and EMS at Texas Road and old U-S 169. Sigg was airlifted to KU Medical Center where she later died. Gott was taken to Allen County Hospital and later to a Wichita hospital with possible neck injury. Rogers and Watt were also taken to ACH; they were treated and released. Gott faces a possible charge of 2nd degree reckless murder, according to the incident report.
My heart goes out to the Sigg Family! I think the funeral is scheduled for Tuesday :( This was Casey's cousin.

Another Weekend of Snow
Well, another weekend of snow or sleet or slush or rain you take your pick at any given moment of this weekend. This weather has really soiled our plans. We were suppose to go down to Coffeyville and visit the Dumm's,(the Dumm's are: Shalawnda and Travis and their new bundle of joy Asher) but the hubby was worried the weather was not going to be favorable (althought I hate to admit it, he may be correct, and I can say that here since he will never read it!!) He said "You can always go down and hold that baby, but we can't get ours back" so that really made me rethink my stubborn attitude I was carrying around yesterday. So we will have to postpone seeing baby Asher. I am really excited to have another baby in the family and I bet Bryden can't wait - he loves babies, but I don't need him begging for a new baby too. Him and Casey would be ganging up on me then and I am waiting until after we go to Mexico in December, which may be a little selfish because none of us are getting any younger but after we add another child it will be harder to go on a vacation with the family just Casey and I, so my feeling is we should just go and enjoy it while we can.
The weather has also affected the people that were coming to look at the house today, they are going to reschedule at least.
I guess we will just settle working out with Kirsten, Bob and Jillian today - which is fine by me with this kind of weather. Kirsten and I have been doing the BIGGEST LOSER workouts. I know I always thought they were for obese people and wouldn't be a challenge and since they are from the show I thought they may be a little cheezy, but they are a serious workout with lots of variety which makes the hour go by very quickly. We really like the Cardio Max DVD and the Last Chance workouts. They are customizable and you vary your workouts with cardio and weights which I love! So I would recommend these to any one who is tired of their gym routine or need something to do at home. Thanks to Tristan for "suggesting" these!
