I am sleepy...
So, Bryden has..et hum...had still been sleeping in a crib. We were concerned if we switched him to the twin or toddler bed he would attempt to climb down the stairs in the middle of the night and fall. This all began just before Christmas... I was wrapping presents, Casey was playing PS3 (snooze) and I had put Bryden to bed approx 8:20pm. At 8:45 we still hear noises up stairs dancing, knocking, talking, music etc. And then a LOUD noise, then a door open, then little feet on the landing, then "MOMMA". Casey walked to the stairs as Bryden climbed down walked past him and said "Hi Momma", Me: Bryden what are you doing down here? Bryden: I go nightnight Momma? Me: yes you need to go night night. He returned up stairs all by himself, for this chain of events to happen once again. Then we proceeded to lower the mattress in his crib down to the lowest point thinking there was No escape, WRONG!!! so I am sleepy today..trying to put a little monkey to bed each night, which right now has turned into approx an hour long process. I am sure a lot of parents experiences this with children who don't like to go to bed ie ME as a child! I was this type of child singing in my room, playing in the dark, asking for a drink, asking a question, climbing out of bed and sleeping right next to the shut door and my mother having to wait until I woke up in the mornings in order to open the door. Why would I be surprised that I have a child like this? I am not, Bryden has never been the child that requires much sleep and each morning when I see his sleepy little face I think ONE day he will learn his lesson and realize how important it is to go to bed at a decent hour and STAY asleep the entire night. I will keep you posted as to how this works out, but I am not holding my breath this will get any easier for a while. The only light at the end of the tunnel is that hopefully we will be moving within the next 6 months and MAYBE this will make things easier, I know wishful thinking.

I dread the day we move Tylee out of her crib. The girls at work both went through it recently and it was a nightmare for both of them!
